Alana De La Garza has earned a reputation in the world of television. De La Garza, a Mexican American father and Irish American mother were born in Columbus Ohio on June 26 the 26th of June, 1976. The family moved to Texas to pursue the career of an Occupational Therapist at the University of Texas. De La Garza stayed in Texas for a brief period prior to moving in Orlando Florida. She took part in many different kinds of character roles including local independent films and commercials. Even the small roles did not stop her from finding out that she was a fan of acting. Her move was in New York. Her first gig was in the soap opera All My Children. Through the first half of 2000 she was a small part in JAG Las Vegas as well as Two and a Half Men. Her debut big-screen series aired on The Mountain. De La Garza starred as Maria Serrano alongside top TV celebrities like Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley, Anson Mount, and Mitch Pileggi. The character she's most remembered for was the A.D.A. character in Law & Order (2006). Connie Rubirosa. The actress was on the show for 85 seasons. The character later re-entered the short-lived spinoff Law & Order: LA. The character she played earned De La Garza several nominations such as Best Supporting Actress - Television by the Imagen Foundation Awards and even numerous ALMA Award noms. In 2008 she took home an Impact Award for Outstanding Performance in a Dramatic Television Series from the National Hispanic Media Coalition. De La Garza got a reprise role in CSI Miami a few moments further. She was Marisol Deko, as well as the wife of David Caruso's character Horatio. Most recent TV appearance was on the character Dr. Lena Solis on NBC's slightly dark comedy Do No Harm. After just two episodes, the show was cancelled.
