Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles on the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Since his time at college Christopher Meloni has always been interested in the acting world. He pursued a degree in acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both the television and film industry, but it was his smaller-screen roles which earned him fame and a large fan base. There is no doubt that he has been able grab audiences' attention by playing characters that are either sides of the legal system. When he first appeared on television, for his debut project, he played an infamous serial killer. In later projects, he was the role of an NYPD investigator. Because of his portrayal on the small screen, he's been up for nomination many times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards. One of his most striking facial features is believed to be his piercing blue eyes. They are believed as a signature and helped in portraying rough characters with charisma. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
